ABSTRACT

Solid modelling is a relatively new comer. It is intended to overcome the limitations of the 2D/3D wire frame and surface modelling when representing and analyzing 3D objects. The aim of solid modelling is to create unambiguous objects and its complete geometric representation in Computer Graphics and CAD. The methods used in geometric modelling to represent object/solids in CAD system are wireframe (2D and 3D), surface and constructive solid geometric modelling. In other words, wireframe (2D and 3D), surface and constructive solid geometric modelling are three classical methods to represent solid objects.
