ABSTRACT

The food/beverage and pharmaceutical industries manufacture products that are not compatible with most lubricants. Product safety is key at all times, recognized in both GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) manufacturing control programs. These programs are designed to assure the consumer public and regulatory bodies such as the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) that a quality preventive maintenance program focused on product contamination control is in place.
