ABSTRACT

Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.) is mainly grown in tropical and sub-tropical regions in the world for vegetable and seed crop. At present, this species is the second most important pulse crop in the world. Pollinating insect activities are beneficial in increasing the number of pod set, the number of seeds per pod, or both; however, there are no recommendations for the use of pollinating insects on cowpeas.
