ABSTRACT

Huawei has adopted autonomous driving network (ADN) as one of its core ICT strategies for 2030, aiming to jointly promote the evolution of ICT networks toward “hyper-automation and intelligent autonomy” over the next decade with all industry partners. Such evolution is a process that depends on fundamental theories in numerous fields and disciplines, a reference architecture adopting new concepts and views, and cutting-edge technologies in multiple fields. The sustainable development of ADN relies on a thriving AN industry. As an emerging industry, AN is not just about technologies; it is also about business success, industry collaboration, standards formulation, and continuous evolution. AN capabilities need to be improved in order to develop networks capable of double-digit gigabit speeds as well as unlock the potential of network and ICT infrastructure for the evolution toward digital, intelligent, and green networks.
