ABSTRACT
The Introduction presents a short overview of the book's topics, i.e., polymer hydrogels based on alginate and poly(vinyl alcohol) with silver nanoparticles and gentamicin for wound dressing and soft tissue implants (Chapter 2), bioceramic hydroxyapatite-based coatings on titanium with silver nanoparticles and gentamicin for hard tissue implants (Chapter 3), and modeling of the drug release process (Chapter 4).
