ABSTRACT
The development of the aerospace industry has experienced a very rapid revolution in the past decades, and aerospace manufacturing technologies can be of great interest and importance because they, to a large extent, dominate performance. This chapter introduces the background and core idea of developing single-layer brazed cubic boron nitride (CBN) abrasive wheels. In addition, the structure of this book is introduced in this chapter. Chapters 1–6 explain the fabrication technologies and the different mechanisms during the production of the single-layer brazed CBN abrasive tools. Chapters 7–12 reveal the wear behaviours and mechanisms of the single-layer brazed CBN abrasive tools. Chapters 13–17 explore the grinding performances and mechanisms of the single-layer brazed CBN abrasive tools.
