ABSTRACT

All electronic hardware is made of circuit boards and mechanical parts. All circuit boards are made of components, and connections are provided by the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). These components are third-party products that we build into our product. In this chapter we do not focus on “defining” the components; rather, we describe how they are used on complex high-speed hardware designs. We concentrate on how board designers make use of them, not on how the component factory makes them.
