ABSTRACT
While there are hundreds of drugs used to treat cancer, it is still the second leading cause of death in the United States, with approximately 600,000 deaths attributed to this disease each year. Each of the >100 types of cancer, usually classified by the origin of the cancerous cell, is quite distinct, as are each one’s symptoms, risk factors, outcomes, and mortality rates.
