ABSTRACT
A discussion on the designing of polypyrrole/biopolymer based hybrid/composite coatings is done in Chapter 6. The chapter starts with the synthesis and characterization methods employed for the detailed characterization of hybrids/composites. The corrosion testing techniques are elaborately written with reference to effective role of biopolymers (chitosan/gum acacia) in enhancing the anti corrosive properties of polypyrrole. The synergy of chitosan/gum acacia and polypyrrole is well discussed in this chapter. The chapter ends with a brief discussion on the physico mechanical testing of the hybrid/composite coatings.
