ABSTRACT

considers quality indices of signal processing in metric spaces with L-group properties. These indices are based on metric relationships between the instantaneous values (the samples) of the signals, determined in the third chapter. The obtained quality indices correspond to the main problems of signal processing, i.e. signal detection; signal filtering; signal classification; signal parameter estimation; and signal resolution. Chapter 6 provides brief comparative analysis of the obtained relationships, determining the difference of signal processing quality in the spaces with mentioned properties. It is shown, that potential quality indices of signal processing in metric spaces with lattice properties are characterized by the invariance property with respect to parametric and nonparametric prior uncertainty conditions. The relationships, determining capacity of communication channel operating in the presence of interference (noise) in metric spaces with L-group properties, are obtained. All main signal processing problems are considered from the standpoint of estimating the signals and/or their parameters.
