ABSTRACT
My research revealed that environmental health is doubly invisible, in that public health is culturally invisible, and within this sphere, environmental health is invisible. Practitioners and managers expressed difficulties in promoting their service to public health policymakers, their allied occupational groups and elected members, and a variety of reasons for this were proposed.
