ABSTRACT
In Chapters 5, 6, and 7, distributed optimization methods are developed to solve the economic dispatch problems in single-area and multi-area power systems, respectively. Motivated by the idea of distributed optimization, in this chapter, we consider another optimization problem in the tertiary control layer, i.e., the optimal energy scheduling problem, which is not a specific problem in MG control but more general in smart grid systems.
