ABSTRACT
The reproductive structures of the dividing embryo differentiate after the seventh week of development. The gonads, internal and external genitalia consititute the sex organs. In the female, the Müllerian ducts develop into the uterus, Fallopian tubes, cervix and upper third portion of the vagina. The urogenital sinus in turn forms the lower two-thirds of the vagina.
