ABSTRACT

The physical complexity involves charting the course of the system over space and time. Most transient processes are dissipative, so that the accumulation term starts out negative and steadily approaches zero. Negative accumulation is the nature of a diffusive system that smooths out gradients over time. The lumped analysis method assumes that the interior of the system of interest is uniform and can be characterized by a single value of the state variable. The state variable in the system was the voltage, and the transport quantity was the charge, measured as the current flowing through the system. A great deal of heat is generated and the delicate instruments within the craft need to be protected by a sophisticated insulation system. The goal of the module is to design an appropriate composite insulation system that protects the internal contents and provides minimum weight and maximum internal volume for the craft.
