ABSTRACT

The UCLA campus is located in Westwood, California. Westwood is one of the prime real estate locations in Southern California. Few faculty can afford to live in Westwood. Westwood Village, adjacent to the campus, is the home of a number of upscale boutiques and cafes and shops. And also to a branch of the Bank of America. Every Spring, Bank of America puts an ad in the UCLA student paper encouraging students to apply for a job at B of A. And this ad always includes a footnote that says, “Must be able to add fractions.”
