ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the membranes used in membrane technology and their properties. In particular, membrane hydrophobicity is discussed in detail. The membrane shapes (flat sheet or hollow fiber) and properties: liquid entry pressure of membranes, contact angle, thickness, thermal conductivity, pore size and porosity are covered in detail.
