ABSTRACT
This chapter covers membrane distillation modeling. The various types of modeling are explained and the model formulation for various membrane configurations discussed. The expected output from membrane distillation model solution is presented. Motivations for advanced computational fluid dynamic modeling of membrane distillation are presented in order to improve the design of membrane distillation modules.
