ABSTRACT

The decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method is employed to determine causal relationships among evaluation criteria. It also helps researchers understand the influence level of each criterion. The use of DEMATEL in environmentally conscious manufacturing and product recovery (ECMPRO)-related problems is limited to only a few studies. Evaluation of green supply-chain management practices and vendor selection for the recycled material are some of the issues considered in these studies. This chapter presents a DEMATEL model to evaluate the relationships among green supply-chain practices, organizational performance, and external driving factors. The model uses DEMATEL to evaluate various green supply-chain management practices. Green design involves the consideration of certain environmental criteria in the product design process. Fuzzy DEMATEL was used by Y. J. Lin to analyze the interrelationships among the factors (green supply-chain management practices, organizational performance, and external driving factors) affecting the green supply-chain management implementation.
