ABSTRACT

Approximately 79 species, mainly in the Afrotropical and Oriental Regions. Only 12 (15%) are Neotropical. 42 (53%) are found in the Afrotropical Region, with 23 (55%) known in Kenya. Migratory movements are not thought to occur (Br), and all of Kenya’s species either breed locally or are presumed to do so. DOUBLE-TOOTHED BARBET <italic>Lybius bidentatus</italic>
