ABSTRACT
Approximately 25 species, with representatives in all major zoogeographical regions except the Nearctic and Neotropical. Nine (36%) are known in the Afrotropical Region, and six of these occur in Kenya. Of the Kenyan species, four breed or are thought to do so, while the two others are non-breeding intra-African and Palearctic migrants respectively. Orioles are almost always associated with trees.
