ABSTRACT
While the application of cross-cultural (XC) skills and understanding may help to understand Asian criminal organizations, reduce stress for police, and generate more support from the Asian communities, these applications are even more effective when coupled with such innovations as Asian police storefronts, more Asian-American police officers, and training in Standard Telegraphic Code. Also important is Asian language training at Foreign Service Institute competency levels between levels, 2., and higher levels, 3+, a widely used measure of linguistic performance.
