ABSTRACT
From the view of many members of many Asian-American communities, testifying in court constitutes an act of either bravery or foolhardiness. This remains a real problem for police and prosecutors. Usually, with some local businessmen, offering money will not help, and it may insult them. However, friendship — Asian friendship — might do it.
