ABSTRACT

The purpose of Chapter V is to show how the theory developed in preceding chapters can be used to obtain approximation solvability and/or existence theorems for nonlinear PDEs and ODEs, which need not be of the form to which other abstract theories apply. Thus in Section 1 we treat the solvability of elliptic boundary value problems of order 2m, while in Section 2 we deal with the approximation solvability of ordinary differential equations.
