ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the main effective actions of structure for enhancing daily activities through creativity (SEDAC) and the Policy Objective Matrix, and suggests the reasons why these methods are effective in these actions. "Effective Actions" column refers to the use of SEDAC in promoting improvement activities and generating ideas effectively and efficiently. The "Reasons for Effectiveness" are the aspects of SEDAC that encourage teams to keep thinking wholeheartedly and generating new ideas. As SEDAC improvement cards are confirmed to be effective, they become standard cards. In this way, SEDAC is not only an idea-generation technique but also a tool for developing reliable standards through trial and error—a function that is extremely important for the accumulation of intrinsic and management technology. When a study group member is representing a SEDAC team, he or she usually shares the contents of standard and, especially, first-class cards at the meeting.
