ABSTRACT
Many of the chemical reactions described in this volume are useful in their own right, for incorporating the very widely available and inexpensive carbon dioxide into important chemical intermediates, leading to polymers, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. Their large-scale application thus does not depend on the intention to recycle this greenhouse gas.
