ABSTRACT

There are seven base SI units from which all other SI units are derived. The base units are listed in Table A2.1.

The base SI units can be multiplied, divided, and canceled just like algebraic quantities in order to produce derived SI units, to simplify complex mathematical relationships, and to perform dimensional analyses. No conversion factors are needed. Some useful derived units are listed in Table A2.2.
