ABSTRACT
The effects of multiple delaminations on the damage were investigated with plates consisting of 0 degree plies into which either one, two, or three 90 degree plies were inserted (the total number of plies in each plate was 24). With the 90 degree plies inserted, delaminations occurred at every interface between the 0 degree and 90 degree plies. Thus, in plates with one 90 degree ply delaminations occurred at two such interfaces, with two 90 degree plies at four interfaces, and with three 90 degree plies at six interfaces.
