ABSTRACT
Construction engineering often requires collaborative working between members of a multidisciplinary project team. A typical project involves a wide range of disparate professionals - clients, architects, structural engineers, building services engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, materials suppliers, etc. - working together for a relatively short period on the design and construction of a facility. In many cases, the pm1icipants arc geographically distributed making the need for effective information and communication technologies acute.
