ABSTRACT

In addition to the expected justifications required for approval, it may also be necessary to conduct an educational seminar for the decision or policy makers in the work establishment. These people could include the plant manager, department supervisors and first-line foremen. More than likely, these people are not well informed about CTDs and will need to be briefed for purposes of obtaining their approval and support for carrying out indicated control programs. Specific examples of high-risk jobs from the affected plant should be identified using procedures outlined in Part II of this manual. If possible, some solutions should be proposed along with estimates of costs and benefits.
