ABSTRACT
On occasions a proposal of a planning authority that will lead to compulsory acquisition can make it very difficult to sell land. In these circumstances an owner might be able to serve a blight notice which would require acquisition before the due date. This chapter considers the nature of and procedures relating to such notices.
