ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at those circumstances arising from decisions of a planning authority which can give rise to a claim for planning compensation. This will occur if a permission is revoked (taken away), modified (altered to the detriment of the owner and the value of the land) and where a use has to stop, that is, the use must be discontinued.
