ABSTRACT
This chapter will examine the current and possible future impact that virtual humans could have on education and draw on recent studies undertaken in this area by the author that have implemented virtual humans in different ways in educational settings. The chapter will examine the potential impact of virtual humans on education in terms of new developments and uses of virtual humans for guiding and supporting learning, as well as exploring their impact on our everyday lives, and even on our relationships.
