ABSTRACT

Statistical mechanics deals with the molecular levels and the physical laws use variables and effects such as temperature, pressure, energy, entropy, concentration, molecular motions, electrochemistry, reaction rates, and phase change that are applied at macroscopic level and related to thermodynamics. Applied thermodynamics is the science of the relationship between heat, work, and the properties of systems. Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, evolution, and distribution. Surfaces play a vital role in biology and medicine, with most reactions occurring at surfaces and interfaces. In biology, tissue is a cellular organizational level intermediate between cells and a complete organ. A vast amount of information is available in literature about biochemistry, genomics, and cell biology of cancer. The relationships between biology and the physicochemical sciences, and between organisms and inorganic matter, are of significant interest to the philosophy of science both from theoretical as well as practical points of views.
