ABSTRACT
Infinite sequences and infinite series are very useful ways to represent numbers and functions. To pick one application, many differential equations can be solved by essentially algebraic methods when solutions are represented using infinite (power) series. Infinite series can also be used to represent the antiderivatives of functions when more elementary methods are inadequate.
