The aims of this chapter are to:
Survey best practices to prepare high-quality manuscripts that are most likely to be accepted by your first journal targeted.
Introduce quality-control (QC) checklists from consensus guidelines to prepare reports of most types of investigations, including CONSORT for randomized controlled trials (and extensions) and STROBE for observational studies (and extensions).
Offer templates, forms, and figures to assist in preparing and submitting ethical, transparently disclosed manuscripts.
