ABSTRACT

Healing Neighbors Healthcare (HNH) is like many healthcare systems across the country. It's a not-for-profit healthcare system composed of large medical centers, small critical access hospitals, medical clinics of all specialties, and laboratories. To effectively navigate this large scale, transformational change, HNH invested in a Change Adoption Team. It was integral to the team's success to have a direct link to the company's most senior executives and to be involved in strategic decision making and priority setting. The team's focus was to develop the organization's change adoption methodology, change leadership capabilities, and help the organization achieve measurable value from adopting the largest strategic initiative it had undertaken to date. The centralized communication team was able to leverage our communication elements to help successfully launch their new company-wide intranet platform. The exceptional results achieved at HNH are largely because healthcare companies do not typically invest in skilled change adoption resources.
