ABSTRACT

Epic is one of the nation's leading electronic health record (EHR) vendors. Healing Neighbors Healthcare (HNH) chose Epic's EHR system because of the functionality of the software, the data and reporting capabilities, their track record of implementation successes, and the experience, support, and partnership Epic provides to their customers. Marc Movrich carefully reviewed the change and communication activities that were already included in Epic's comprehensive implementation plan and welcomed the many more deliverables and activities for the change adoption effort. Epic had developed programs for hospital clinical leaders and revenue cycle leaders. The impressive outcome of these programs was the collaboration among all the operational leaders that were in the programs. Service Line leaders from each service and each location were able to meet, learn, and hear each other's stories. They experienced together the compromise of standardizing work processes, and they formed relationships.
