ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses how to develop a basic 3D game with the ultimate goal of experiencing it in a virtual reality setting. It describes how to add a terrain to an empty project and how to access the terrain settings, including resolution and size. The chapter explains importing of the environment assets from the standard assets and addition of a grass texture to the terrain. It shows how to change the height, rotation, and density of trees objects to create varied woods and forests in the terrain. The chapter also describes adding wind to move trees for a realistic looking environment by using a Wind Zone object to the game scene.
