This chapter discusses the use of ready-made artificial intelligence (AI) character provided with the Characters package for adding an enemy character in the game scene. Ethan’s Animator component is ultimately responsible for the path-finding prowess of AI and hides all the algorithmic complexity of the search. The chapter describes the addition of a navigation mesh to an existing terrain by using the navigation tab. It also discusses the properties of the directional light in the game scene after adding a Lens Flare component in the game scene. The Flare Layer component has to be added to the game camera (first-person character) for the effect to be actually visible in-game.
