ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses how to set a proper scoring system and winning condition. Scoring points is not only the most basic way to reward players for playing successfully but also one of the most effective to actually provide a gratifying experience. The chapter describes how to modify the StarScript to handle the spawning of the exit object at a specific location. It introduces Unity’s graphical user interface system and explains how to create a new game object by selecting the user interface and make text entry from the drop-down menu. The chapter also discusses the transform tool used to resize and move the text window.
