ABSTRACT

There are three national parks larger than 100 mi2 (259  km2) in the North Coast and Cascades Network: Mount Rainier (MORA), North Cascades (NOCA), and Olympic (OLYM) national parks. There are also four historical parks that are smaller than 100 mi2. Larger parks generally have more available data with which to evaluate air pollution sensitivities and effects. In addition, the larger parks generally contain more extensive resources in need of protection against the adverse impacts of air pollution. The focus here is on the three larger parks.
