ABSTRACT

Abstract Triazolium ylids are dipolar molecules in their ground electronic state; as spectrally active molecules, they have a visible absorption intramolecular charge transfer band, very sensitive to the solvent nature. The spectral study of ternary solutions provided information on the specic interaction of 1,2,4-triazolium ylids in protic solvents, the composition of the rst solvation shell, and the estimation of the difference between the potential energies in molecular pairs of the types 1,2,4-triazolium ylids-active solvent and 1,2,4-triazolium ylids-inactive solvent. The spectral data achieved with four types of binary solvents assessed on the basis of the statistical model of ternary solutions indicate the nonhomogeneity of the studied ylids ternary solutions: the rst solvation shell of the studied triazolium ylids and the rest of the solution has different concentrations of the active solvent molecules.
