Climate Change in the Local Context, with Changes in Growing Conditions

The whole of Finland comprises high northern latitudes (60º-70º N) with the subarctic climate, where climate change is likely to greatly affect temperature, precipitation, snow fall and the duration of snow cover. The magnitude and timing of changes in climate are dependent on the global context, but the local conditions are likely to generate large spatial and temporal variability in future environmental conditions.
