ABSTRACT

Lean and agile project managers (PMs) are now expected to take an active role in the change management process. This participation is expected even when a program has been developed by human resources (HR), but in the new economy, even the formation of such an effort may become a duty of the Lean and agile PM. Once a change or a change management plan is formed, it is necessary to discuss the balance of communication. Even in companies that have a multitude of meetings, there is often not enough communication provided regarding change. One of the best resources on change management is the Wharton Center for Leadership and Change. Works written by William Bridges, considered the pioneer of change management theory, are also valuable references to read or review before implementing a change management plan. Change management requires political, analytical, people, business, and system skills.
