ABSTRACT
In the following, we show expressions for forces, energies, torques and other physical quantities related to interactions between magnetic particles and interactions with an external magnetic fi eld. Although a single independent magnetic charge is not found to exist, the concept of this magnetic charge, similar to electric charge, is quite useful to derive expressions for magnetic forces, torques and energies acting between two magnetic particles [1]. Hence, we employ the concept of single positive and negative magnetic charges in a derivation procedure similar to that for an electrically charged particle system in order to derive the expressions below.
