ABSTRACT
An integrated use of nutrients from chemical, organic manures, and composts is the most efficient way to supply plant nutrients for sustained crop productivity and improved soil fertility. Organic farming integrated with chemical fertilizers is gaining gradual momentum across the world. Moreover, growing knowledge of health and environmental issues in the agricultural sector has led to the demand for organic food, which is emerging as an attractive source of rural income generation. Bheemaiah et al. studied the effect of integrated application of green leaf manures and fertilizers on growth and yield of summer groundnut under different cropping systems. The review of literature clearly indicated that the low level of productivity of groundnut in India can be ascribed to several constraints including soils low in organic matter content and poor in fertility status. The study of balanced nutrition integrated with organic manures in groundnut is highly justified.
