ABSTRACT
In the next few chapters, we tackle web search and related technologies. When I first posted this series on Google China blog, some readers were disappointed that I only covered the main ideas behind search without delving into details. This time, I am afraid I will have to disappoint some readers again, because our discussion remains on the surface level for several reasons.
