ABSTRACT

The Kwid Brazilian launch was already scheduled, and a request had already been made for an operation to fine-tune the product to the specific expectations of this market. As had been the case for the Logan, the first expansion of the Kwid program added a range of product innovations for the Indian market. Program Director Gerard Detourbet, who had pushed through the intercontinental deployment of the Entry range, invested heavily in the internationalization of the new program. Gerard Detourbet entrusted Bertrand Ciavaldini, who managed the Renault launch in India from 2008 to 2012, with leading the Alliance A-Segment Development Unit (2ASDU) team in Curitiba, and granted him a large degree of autonomy. The Indian 2ASDU team also made a big contribution to completing the redesign work, because the overview and details of the vehicle were conceived at Renault-Nissan Technology and Business Centre India (RNTBCI) in Chennai.
