ABSTRACT

The Es represent a series of seven topic areas that are very useful, especially when performing operational audits. The seven Es are as follows: Economy, efficiency, effectiveness, ethics, ecology, equity and excellence. Economy refers to the cost incurred while obtaining the inputs the organization, program or process needs to perform its activities. Efficiency relates to the ratio of production in relation to costs or inputs. Effectiveness refers to the degree to which a program or process is successful achieving its goals and objectives. Ethics defined as the moral principles that govern a person's behavior. Ecology Concern for the environment has been on the rise for decades. Equity applies to the idea of treating everyone fairly. While many instinctively relate this concept to compliance with fair labor laws, the concept is much broader. Excellence concept relates to the performance of company work with high quality.
