ABSTRACT

Organizations keen on enterprise-wide deployment of Lean cannot be successful just by focusing on a few processes. If a chief executive officer (CEO) is looking at an organizational transformation, the CEO has to look beyond processes. I have seen Lean professionals struggle because their focus has just been on getting processes right and they are not aware of what else needs to be done. From my point of view, a successful Lean transformation requires nine building blocks (Figure 15.1).
